Safety Coordinator 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Throop, PA Safety Coordinator $20-$30 an hour (starting wage based on experience) 24 hours a week (3 days), 1st shift, ability to work a flexible schedule Roto-Rooter is seeking a safety conscious individual to act as our Safety Coordinator ! Are you a team player? Are you organized and have a history of implementing safe and effective operating procedures? Overall duties include assessing safety, enforcing safety standards and educating employees by: Conduct Safety Observations (“safety stops”) out in the field Conduct and/or assist with investigations of incidents and report findings and recommendations to management. Create and give a monthly safety topic presentation to the team related to current safety concerns from the “safety stops” or something relevant to our line of work. Coordinate and/or complete inspections of Roto-Rooter owned equipment to maintain proper functionality Work hand in hand with the Human Resources department and General Manager to ensure the company keeps up with state applicable laws and regulations pertaining to, but not limited to: OSHA, DOT, Safety training/ department specific certifications and compliance. Other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager Minimum of Associate’s degree in safety related field Highly desirable: Bachelor’s level degree from an accredited college or university in a safety and/or health related field of study or an equivalent combination of undergraduate education What will make you stand out: At least one relevant/related nationally recognized professional H&S certification on top of formal training/education in the Safety Industry. This position would be ideal for someone who: a.) Has a background in QA/ Auditing b.) Has processed WC claims/ was an insurance or claims adjustor c.)
