Rotational or Monday-Friday The HSE Superintendent is responsible for implementation of HSE management system (MS), processes, policies, and tools for assigned rigs; Drives ownership, responsibility, and accountability for HSE; Communicates effectively to drive consistent implementation and compliance to the HSE MS, trend and measure the HSE leading and lagging indicators for the daily management of the rigs; Champions HSE to continuously drive HSE Performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 24-hour HSE support to employees in the designated operational area, providing daily coaching and support to the field staff, coaching and training employees; Spend 80% of time in the field, maintaining focus to overall company objectives Provide HSE leadership, support, coaching, and training at all levels in the field and shops; Responsible to implement HSE objectives and performance measures during all drilling operational activities Coaches, demonstrates, and leads Key Beliefs, Life Saving Actions, HSE MS policies, procedures, and tools Continuous assessment and communication of HSE data and KPIs to monitor leading and lagging indicators Proficient in Regulatory requirements, PD HSE MS policies, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance Coach, train, and support employees in the HSE MS policies, processes, and tools to achieve Target Zero Conduct rig HSE assessments, inspections, and monitor corrective actions for completion Ensures hazard identification and controls (Hazard Assessments) are completed and controls are in place for all tasks Participate in risk management and HSE activities, including risk assessments, audits, HSE meetings, onsite work activities, weekly safety meetings, and morning operations meetings, etc. Partner with the Field Superintendent, continuously providing leading and lagging indicator information and action plans to close gaps; Manage and provide regular feedback to ensure compliance with the HSE MS Responsible for post-incident management, including preparation and submittal of incident reports and corrective action follow-up as per the HSE MS; Participate in incident investigation; Committee meetings; Responsible for communicating incident status to management Assist in the implementation of the rig Emergency Management Plan Develop, revise, conduct, and/or coordinate HSE training as needed Verify required HSE training is being completed in a timely manner for rig-based personnel Communicate with Field Training and Development Managers for training inquiries specific to HSE for rig-based employees Knowledge & Skills Strong communication skills and an ability to work at all levels to implement effective programs Proficiency with written and email communication, including use of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Motivated to develop skills associated with HSE professional practices, procedures, and regulations Strong desire to support all levels of personnel Ability to identify and implement improvements Ability to perform under stressful conditions Analytical skills Probability and decision-making skills Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Effective organizational skills Investigation skills Education BS/BA degree preferred in a safety-related program HSE credentials and/or certifications preferred Experience Strong working knowledge of HSE Management Systems Strong working knowledge of Regulatory requirements Experience in Hazard Assessment and Incident Investigation Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a Company vehicle, including the ability to meet the requirements of the Company’s Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy Minimum of 5 years of relevant oilfield experience, or 5 years in heavy industry/construction environment with a proven excellent safety record
