EHS Specialist 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Philadelphia, PA 19116 Build your future with Volt Volt is immediately hiring for a EHS Specialist || in Philadelphia, PA As a EHS Specialist, you will: Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company environment, health, and safety (EHS) programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental health and safety regulations. Systems updates and reminders for concern reports filed. Working with production floor and hourly employees to look at safety improvements. Weekly safety walks with leaderships Work to reduce company risk and liability in all aspects of EHS. Assists in a variety of duties to include sampling, observations, training and inspections. Works with stakeholders in the organization during space planning, building expansions and/or other changes in facilities or work areas to ensure EHS requirements and regulations are met. Assists with root cause analysis when EHS incidents occur and recommends corrective action where environmental, health and safety hazards exist. Responsible for monitoring and driving sustainability initiatives. This is a 6-12-months full time contract with possible extensions opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Need to understand OSHA labor standards Understand any ergonomic work to prevent injuries 2-5 years prior EH&S experience (early to mid-career) 2- 4-year degree in Technical field (mechanical/electrical engineering); will consider in lieu of a degree with more experience (6+)
Pay Range:
$38.00-$40.00 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
