The Entry Level Safety Coordinator / HSE Coordinator will work with the Compliance team to play a key role in the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety processes and procedures, maintain established safety management systems, train employees, and promote continuous improvement consistent with the site’s goals and objectives. Essential Duties Comply with company Policies and Programs. Monitor all departments for safety compliance and deficiencies. Respond to an emergency in accordance with policy and procedure. Perform training for employees. Attend and contribute to weekly meetings to review violations, training, and possible improvements. Provide Contractor / Visitor Safety Orientations and ensure distribution of PPE. Promote incident and accident prevention in the workplace. Assist in the development and implementation of Hazard Assessments and Safe Work Practices. Assist special issues / projects. Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis. Perform other related duties as assigned. Competencies Knowledge of regulatory agencies standards and regulations (OSHA, EPA, DHEC). Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) computer software programs. Good oral, written, and presentation skills. Self-starter who can work independently and in a team environment. Collaboration and coaching skills. Conflict management. Flexibility. Working with minimum supervision. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1 to 3 years support HSE/EHS Department experience 1 year of manufacturing experience Bilingual First-Aid, CPR, AED Certified• Forklift Class

• OSHA 30-hour General Industry Certification•If applicant currently does not possess this certification, they must have the ability to obtain it upon hire. Personal Protective Equipment Must be able to wear slip-resistant, safety-toe shoes for the entire duration of shift. Must be able to wear Eye protection. Must be able to wear Hearing protection. Physical Requirements May occasionally require lifting up to 40 pounds and occasionally carrying 20-50 pounds. Must be able to adjust body position to bend, kneel, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, push, pull, and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to walk continuously and long distances for the entire duration of the shift. Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled and subject to noise, electrical hazards, dust, and unpleasant odors. Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season. Must be able to climb stairs with heights up to 48 ft.
