Requirements:

3+ years of experience in a safety-related role in construction. Bachelor’s degree is safety-related field preferred, similar experience considered. Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required. Experience working for a GC preferred. Position Overview
The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all construction activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations. This position is responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement health and safety programs tailored to construction activities.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites.
Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures to mitigate risks.
Manage safety documentation and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Provide training to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
Coordinate the safety committee and facilitate safety meetings.
Assist in incident investigations and report findings accordingly.
Oversee SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) reporting and compliance.
Conduct machinery inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
Maintain proper records of safety training, inspections, and incidents. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
Proven experience in health and safety within the construction industry, preferably with a GC.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED is preferred.
Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required. Benefits
