Industrial Hygienist (Mid-Level or Senior)

The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is seeking an Industrial Hygienist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Enterprise Safety Deployment team based out of North Charleston, SC.

Position Responsibilities:

Plans and conducts industrial hygiene audits and evaluations Plans, implements and assesses occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment Develops and leads training and instructions Interprets and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations Evaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologies Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions Analyzes emerging technology for the identification of potential hazards and control methods Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelors degree or higher 3+ years of experience performing industrial hygiene work within a manufacturing environment 3+ years of experience assessing and evaluating risk Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelors degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.) Level 4: 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Level 3: 3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Certified Industrial Hygienist Industrial Hygiene (compliance, monitoring, assessments, planning, regulations) to included

Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Industrial Ventilation, Confined Space, Heat Stress and Ionizing Radiation Typical Education/Experience:

Mid-Level (Level 3) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience, 9 years’ related work experience, etc.) Senior (Level 4) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience, 13 years’ related work experience, etc.).
