Job Description Opportunity to join the core delivery arm of a rapidly growingTelehealth service company. VirtuAlly is the only firm providingturnkey, human centered tele sitting solutions in the emergingfield of continuous virtual monitoring (CVM). Job Purpose The Virtual Safety Observer (VSO) provides continuous monitoring ofpatients in clinical settings across multiple states via camerafeeds. This position collaborates with administrative, technical,and clinical staff at various healthcare facilities to promotepatient safety, especially for those patients at risk of harmincluding suicidal patients as part of an observation spectrum. TheVSO will be responsible for real time assessment of safety risksand intervention via a predetermined escalation algorithm. Primary Responsibilities 100% alignment with company vision and

Use proper phone/video etiquette when communicating with patientsand staff by displaying effective customer service strategies. Monitor multiple patients for extended periods of time for safetyrisks including but not limited to fall risk, elopement risk,pulling lines, and low to moderate suicide risk. Ensure that patient information is entered into the softwarecorrectly. Document required information per CVM protocol. Provide closed loop communication for specific high-risk behaviors(sexual, violent, self-harm behavior, suicidal intent) by followingestablished protocols of notifying staff of patient safetyconcern(s) identified. Secondary Responsibilities Obtain report from RN upon initiation of CVM and provide ongoingexception report to oncoming shift for duration of CVMintervention. Provide introduction at initiation of intervention and thebeginning of each shift if patient is awake. Ability to accurately recognize signs of patient agitation,impulsiveness, pulling at lines/tubes, and/or illicit drug oralcohol use. Reporting changes in patient behavior, and escalatingcommunications as necessary using established protocols and bestjudgment. Follows proper channels of communication in handling routine andemergency situations. Provide report to oncoming staff (PSO) regarding patient status.

Include overview of interventions, behaviors observed, andstatus. Notify PSO Lead or designee when CVM is discontinued so thatresources can be allocated appropriately. Notify PSO Lead and nurses caring for all CVM patients ifexperiencing system issues like downtime, video failure, etc.
