Job:

Crandall Corporation is looking to hire an Entry Level Safety/Health/Environmental Compliance Specialist in the Greater Charleston, SC area.

Duties and responsibilities:
Driving:

Must have dependable transportation. Operate vehicles in a safe manner without violations. Must have a clean driving record. Capable of driving to customer locations in the Southeast region.

Compliance Specialist:

Develop and maintain written safety and health plans. Develop and maintain written environmental plans. Assist/complete permit applications. Perform audits and inspections. Conduct training for small or large groups of people. Work both individually and as a team. Be intimately familiar with

OSHA, EPA, DOT

regulations. Work with clients.

Paperwork/Administrative:

Maintain and enter detailed notes. Thorough and accurate completion of reports/correspondence. Submit weekly time and expense reports. Submit task requests to admin in a timely fashion. Develop written plans and correspondence. Work with administrative staff to complete deliverables. Ability to manage time effectively. Able to schedule and manage appointments Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects.

Qualifications:

The following are some of the skills and qualifications that are required for the position: Qualifications include: College degree preferred; sciences preferred. Or Accredited Certification Program. Must be a self-starter and take initiative. Excellent social/people skills. Proficient in MS Office products. Meet deadlines. Perform with minimal supervision. Clean driving record. Ability to think logically. Good reasoning skills. Attention to detail. Be prompt, thorough, and detailed. Must have dependable transportation. Possess excellent time management and communication skills.

Working conditions:

This position works in outdoor and indoor environments, automotive service and repair shops, and industrial manufacturing facilities. The atmospheric conditions may include cold and warm temperature extremes, humidity, and occasionally mist oil or dusty environments. The position may require walking/working in dirty, dusty environments. The position also requires driving a vehicle for extended periods. This position requires overnight travel that may occasionally consist of two to three nights per week.

Physical requirements:

This position requires the ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods. This position requires seating while driving for up to three to four hours, but possibly longer depending on customer location. This position requires standing for two to eight hours per shift, depending on work to be performed and location.
