Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Safety Paramedic & EMT Trainer is to provide leadership and support to the safety and health functions across the division. This person will conduct monthly in-service training for our onsite EMTs and First Repsoneders and ensure compliance for our onsite industrial ambulance services. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: + Growing long term sustainable relationships to drive continuous improvement in safety culture, performance, and safety systems. + Develop, communicate, and implement strategies and plans to support Nucors challenge of becoming the worlds safest steel company + Interpret and apply regulatory consensus standards (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.) + Build and facilitate effective safety and health processes, management systems, and training that drives hazard recognition and prevention + Conduct safety visits, audits, and observations + Oversee and coordinate training and support for the Emergency Response Team + Perform routine and non-routine administrative tasks. This includes but is not limited to inspections, record keeping and various onsite testing. The candidate must be willing to work required hours, including flexibility for non-daylight shifts, and to be on-call in emergency situations 24/7. Minimum Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent + National Registered EMT Paramedic Level + Safety related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
