AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of this job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Assist the Manager with the Workers’ Compensation program to reduce costs. Maintain employee records and file workers compensation documents / medical notes. Assist the Manager in the Return to Work Program, preparing necessary documentation. Assist in the coordination and implementation of various Workers’ Compensation related activities, such as notifying department managers of current status. Tracks medical visits and reminds team members of appointments. Manages training record system, medical record system, and Workers’ Compensation records system to document changes. Maintain OSHA and weekly logs. Communicate necessary information to Human Recourses and Payroll departments. Maintain knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety to safety policies, USDA, GMP’s, QA, Sanitation rules and regulations, and company policies. Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position. Assist manager with training, invoicing and work orders All other duties, as assigned.
SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills, verbal & written. High School Diploma/GED. Ability to establish and maintain strong interpersonal skills with team members. Excellent organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Medical terminology / medical office background preferred. Must have excellent MS Office skills and experience with Excel spreadsheets. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
