About the Role The EHS Coordinator will support continuous safety improvementefforts by assisting in compliance with regulatory requirements andcontributing to root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
This role will help implement and maintain components of the WatlowSafety Management System, promoting adherence to safety standardsacross the site. This position will work closely with siteleadership, safety teams, and EHS professionals to help foster astrong safety culture and support continuous improvement. We are seeking someone to be based out of our manufacturingfacility in Columbia, Missouri.
Your Key Responsibilities EHS Support:
Assist with day-to-day safety activities andensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Data Monitoring:
Track safety trends and recommend improvementsto reduce risk and enhance operations.
Incident Response:
Support root cause analysis and correctiveaction efforts for safety incidents.
Training & Programs:
Help coordinate EHS programs, safetytraining, and audit preparation.
Safety Maintenance:
Maintain safety supplies and equipment, andhelp address ergonomic concerns.
Regulatory Compliance:
Assist with reporting and documentationfor government and regulatory requirements.
Team Collaboration:
Partner with leadership, safety teams, andexternal partners on safety initiatives.
Culture Building:
Promote a proactive safety culture throughparticipation in safety committees and initiatives. Required Qualifications Experience performing work related to environmental health andsafety (EHS) in any capacity 1+ years of experienc working in a manufacturing setting Desired Qualifications Associate degree or higher in Occupational Health, IndustrialHygiene, Engineering, Science, or a related EH&S field
HAZWOPER
certification is a plus, demonstrating readiness tosafely handle hazardous materials and emergency responsesituations Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliancerequirements, and best practices in health and safety Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify safetyhazards, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate safety recordsand reports Conflict resolution skills and the ability to managechallenging situations effectively
