EHS Specialist 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 636 Southgate Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203 Role and Responsibilities Act as an internal consultant to management. Lead and direct improvement teams by interpreting data and providing guidance. Act as a safety spokesperson and champion for creating a safe work environment, and compliance with all safety practices and procedures. Assist with the establishment of plant safety goals and improvement priorities. Conduct internal audits. Responsible for the coordination and education of safe processes to include training, auditing and reporting. Conducts/schedules safety training programs for supervisors and employee groups to establish clear procedures on safety measures and precautions. Help to ensure full compliance with local, state, federal, and company regulations. Assist with the development, implementation and management of Safety and/or Environmental Management Systems. Conduct incident investigations, including root cause determination and development of corrective and preventative actions. Maintain records and logs and prepare periodic reports for review

Working conditions:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the associate must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. The associate is often required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The associate is also exposed to varying weather elements, frequently exposed to hot and humid temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually noisy. Some floors may be wet and slippery, so proper footwear is required.
