Fire Watch Officer 06/20/2025 through 06/23 1.0 1.0 out of 5 stars Goodlettsville, TN 37070 Overview The Fire Watch position is a critical safety role designed to monitor and prevent fire hazards in various environments, particularly during hot work operations such as welding, cutting, or grinding. The Fire Watch is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety protocols and responding promptly to any potential fire risks. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain vigilant in potentially hazardous situations. Responsibilities Monitor work areas for potential fire hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain a constant watch over hot work operations, ready to respond to any signs of fire. Use fire extinguishing equipment and other safety tools effectively. Communicate clearly with team members and report any unsafe conditions immediately. Conduct regular inspections of the worksite to identify potential risks. Document observations and incidents accurately as required by safety protocols. Assist in the implementation of emergency response plans when necessary. Experience Previous experience in a safety role or related field is preferred but not required. Familiarity with fire safety equipment and procedures is advantageous. Strong observational skills and attention to detail are essential for identifying potential hazards. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management regarding safety concerns. Must be able to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly in emergency situations. This role is vital in maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring that all personnel adhere to established safety standards while minimizing the risk of fire incidents.
