As an integral part of the Team Air Distributing team, this position also upholds key performance standards in communication, teamwork, and job knowledge. Position Summary The Safety Leader plays a vital role in promoting a safe and compliant workplace across all East Tennessee branches. This role requires frequent travel to oversee safety operations, ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies, and actively engage employees in building a safety-first culture. Responsibilities include conducting monthly safety audits, leading regular safety training sessions, and promptly addressing hazards and incidents. The Safety Leader serves as a key liaison between management and staff on all matters related to workplace safety. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Monitor all warehouse operations to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Team Air’s safety standards. Verify that employees have the necessary and appropriate safety equipment to complete job tasks. Conduct comprehensive monthly safety audits at each branch, following a detailed inspection checklist. Investigate and follow up on all safety hazards, incidents, and near-misses in a timely and thorough manner. Plan, organize, and deliver safety training programs for new hires and current employees. Ensure all employees are familiar with emergency procedures and that safety protocols are clearly communicated and understood. Maintain open, effective communication with staff regarding safety concerns, feedback, and improvements. Accurately maintain and securely store all safety-related records, reports, and documentation. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Adapt positively to change and promote a proactive approach to safety. Support and exemplify Team Air’s company culture and core values in all interactions. Highly organized and self-motivated. Excellent problem solving, strong attention to detail, good reasoning ability, sound judgement, and good interpersonal skills. Excellent written skills and oral communication skills. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Ability to multitask in fast paced environment. Ability to manage confidential information with great sensitivity. Must pass a drug test and background screening.
