Adler Pelzer Group – a growing Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking a safety driven EHS Coordinator for the manufacturing operations in Athens, TN (located off of I-75 between Knoxville & Chattanooga). The EHS Coordinator will ensure compliance within regulation and company commitments to the safety and health of employees and best practices in the prevention of adverse environmental impacts, under the Company Guidelines. He or she is also responsible for developing programs to ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, completion of required EHS training, acts as primary liaison between third party auditors, governmental organizations, internal auditors, and management. The EHS Coordinator provides direction and coaching to all functional Engineers in the plant in the improvement of environmental, health, and safety metrics. Responsibilities of the

EHS Coordinator:

Identify EHS improvement opportunities in support of the operations EHS efforts and global direction. Lead and implement EHS improvement projects at the site. Identify regulatory issues and necessary compliance activities; implement measurement and reporting activities and the correct responsible party within the operating facility to carry out compliance reporting and monitoring activates. Develop and implement EHS standards within the operation facilities, under the guidance of the corporate level policies and regulatory issues and ensure that standards are communicated and understood by responsible personnel involved. Develop, implement, and at times conduct the required Training programs in support of EHS policy, procedure and practice. Interface and coordinate with Engineering, Operational Excellence, Purchasing and Operations management to support and guide department initiatives in development of healthy, safe and environmentally friendly processes, equipment and work environments. Develop and implement EHS audit and corrective action processes to ensure operations are within established policy, standards, and practices, and support operations in development and implementation of identified corrective action. May be required to work with equipment manufacturers and design groups related to area of responsibility. Required to adhere to applicable TS16949 requirements. Required to adhere to all safety requirements and

requirements. Preferred Requirements of the

EHS Coordinator:

Computer skills (MS Office) 5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing and managing with compliance to EHS Standards and regulations. Basic knowledge of U.S. OSHA and EPA regulations, knowledge of international equivalents are needed either in knowledge or training. Ability to effectively train an adult learning environment. General understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment as it relates to EHS standards and regulation. Excellent project management skills. Capable of coordinating many projects and managing teams and correctly identifying the existing personnel to support projects. Bi-lingual skills in English and Spanish are preferable but not required. Benefits of the
