The Essential Functions:
Analyse leading andlagging safety/incident indicators and job hazard analyses toidentify trends or opportunities for preventive corrective actionsand mitigation prior to an incident occurring that could result ininjury and/or damage to Division assets. Identify opportunities andassist with the development and facilitation of safety andleadership training for Division employees to decreaseincidents/injuries, promote a positive safety culture, and developeffective frontline leaders. Serves as technical advisor andsubject matter expert for pertinent safety standards andregulations pertinent to the Division. Assist with oversight forDivision adherence to local, state and national safety codes andregulations, and Division safety procedures and policies. Stayabreast of all pertinent local, state, and national codes,regulations, MLGW safety procedures, policies, industry best workpractices, and leadership skills. Represent the Division on varioussafety committees and in court on legal matters as required.
Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Safety andHealth Occupational Safety Health, and Environment or related withtwo (2) years’ experience in Safety or Associate of Science inOccupational Safety. Occupational Safety and Health or related withfour (4) years’ experience in Safety.
