The Essential Functions:

Analyse leading and lagging safety/incident indicators and job hazard analyses to identify trends or opportunities for preventive corrective actions and mitigation prior to an incident occurring that could result in injury and/or damage to Division assets. Identify opportunities and assist with the development and facilitation of safety and leadership training for Division employees to decrease incidents/injuries, promote a positive safety culture, and develop effective frontline leaders. Serves as technical advisor and subject matter expert for pertinent safety standards and regulations pertinent to the Division. Assist with oversight for Division adherence to local, state and national safety codes and regulations, and Division safety procedures and policies. Stay abreast of all pertinent local, state, and national codes, regulations, MLGW safety procedures, policies, industry best work practices, and leadership skills. Represent the Division on various safety committees and in court on legal matters as required. Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Occupational Safety Health, and Environment or related with two (2) years’ experience in Safety or Associate of Science in Occupational Safety. Occupational Safety and Health or related with four (4) years’ experience in Safety.
