The SSC uses the district Emergency Operations Plan as a primary guide and ensures proper and proactive oversight for all safety-related matters. In addition, the SSC is a trained expert in working with youth and students in productive, compassionate, and trauma-informed ways that enhance and promote evidence-based and bias-free disciplinary approaches in the school sites and that minimize the chances of escalation. Keep the Emergency Operations Plan up to date and well organized, in coordination with the Superintendent.
