Job Description
Acquisition Security Management Specialist, Senior Eglin Air Force Base, Florida Security 21340 Astrion is looking for a Contractor who will apply knowledge and experience to support the execution of all aspects of acquisition program security throughout a program’s life cycle IAW all applicable Government directives relating to SAPs, Sensitive Compartmented Information, and collateral security requirements. Security experience includes knowledge and experience in implementing requirements derived from E.O. 13526, 13556 and/or 12968 (or successor policy); such as the following DOD manuals:
DODM 5200.02
Personnel Security Program; DODM 5200.01, Vol 1-3 Information Security Program;
DODI 5200.48
Controlled Unclassified Information; DODM 5220.22/Part 117 of Title 32 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM);
DODM 5205.07
Vol 1-4 SAP Security Manual and/or
DODM 5105.21 SCI
Security Administration Manual. This includes but is not limited to working with Government and program prime and subcontractor personnel to create a secure environment through development of sound security practices and policies regarding acquisition, physical, personnel, industrial and documentation security; updating security classification guides; preparing acquisition security related sections of acquisition program documentation; reviewing Contractor deliverables; planning and implementing security-related surveys, assessments, and studies; and evaluating program security information and hardware throughout the program life cycle (to include studies, analyses, plans, procedures, production, test plans/results, transportation, technology, and storage of end items). SAP Experience perferred Responsibilities The Contractor may be appointed as primary/alternate Special Security Representatives (SSR) and be required to complete SSR duties/functions, to include opening/closing the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility. Contractors may also be appointed as primary/alternate Communication Security Responsible Officer (CRO) and be required to complete all duties/functions associated with the
appointment. Additionally, the Contractor shall assist the Government with the following tasks:
- Support the execution of all aspects of acquisition program security throughout a program’s life cycle;
- Develop sound security practices and policies regarding acquisition, physical, personnel and documentation security;
- Update security classification guides;
- Prepare acquisition security related sections of acquisition program documentation;
- Review Contractor deliverables;
- Evaluate program information and hardware throughout the program life cycle;
- Plan and implement security-related surveys, assessments, and studies;
- Evaluate program security information and hardware throughout the program life cycle (to include
studies, analyses, plans, procedures, production, test plans/results, transportation, technology, and
storage of end items); - Maintain databases that reflect receipt, storage, inventory, and disposition of classified information
to include data entry, updates, and generation of reports; - Participate in audits of Government classified holdings to ensure proper accountability;
- Maintain databases of classified visits and clearance levels;
- Perform inspection, inventory, logging, storage, documentation, transmittal and internal
distribution of classified information received; - Evaluate Contractor classified data submittals for compliance with the appropriate SSCG;
- Provide security inspection and protection to areas where classified information is being stored
and designing and establishing security procedures and policies; - Develop and provide security awareness and other security education programs;
- Review and verify qualifications for access to special access programs;
- Provide security support to source selections
- Develop, implement and maintain a communications security program, and;
