POSITION OVERVIEW
We are actively seeking to identify personnel to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support us and the 492d Special Operations Wing. The 492d Special Operations Wing (492 SOW) provides advisory and assistance services for operations support, plans and programs, logistics, contingency operations, intelligence, security, training, and aircrew support. Due to continuous contingency operations, deployment commitments, training requirements, transition to a Power Projection Wing and move to Davis Monthan, AZ, the 492 SOW needs support to continue to meet Headquarters (HQ) Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) taskings.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provide information, industrial, and personnel security program functions in support of the 492d SOW and provide SSO/SSR Support + Implement DOD, USAF and MAJCOM policies and assist in the development of local procedures for the classification and protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by installation activities. + Interpret, formulate, and implement regulatory guidance for classification management and safeguarding requirements. + Implement established security policies, practices, procedures, and techniques, recommend updated when appropriate. + Provide recommendations on the handling of security incidents to minimize adverse effects. + Conduct an annual self-inspection review and report results to the director of 492 SOW/A2 or designated official.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
+ TS/SCI security clearance + Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: counterintelligence, investigations, industrial security, dignitary/VIP policy and security standard development, OPSEC, COMSEC, INFOSEC, security countermeasures programs, access systems operation and management, personnel protection and protecting classified information, or region desk officer. + Knowledge of NISPOM and national and international security requirements. Understanding of and experience-based familiarity with the U.S. Federal Government and DoD agencies and their security practices. + Experience waiver: Up to five (5) years of experience may be waived through education and/or industry certifications + A Bachelor of science degree in a related field may be substituted for up to five (5) years of experience + Each Industry certification in a related area may be substituted for one year of experience + Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills + Must be a U.S. Citizen DEFTEC offers a comprehensive whole-life benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, holiday, paid time off, 401K with a match, life insurance, short/long-term disability, and educational reimbursement.
