$37K – $45.5K a year 9 hours ago Qualifications Management Customer service Mid-level High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Supervising experience Trade school Security 1 year Communication skills Full Job Description Job Summary The Security Services Associate Manager will assist the Security Services Manager with the implementation and execution of security plans, policies, and procedures, as well as, manage the security services officers assigned to the applicable shift. Essential Functions Assigns tasks and supervises the work activities of direct reports. Computes and audits the bi-weekly payroll for applicable direct reporting security staff. Assists Security Services Manager with the recruiting and interviewing of potential candidates. Orients new security services officers to department procedures, policies, and practices. Provides job training to new security personnel and evaluate staff training needs. Evaluates and document employees’ performance and provides feedback. Patrols library and grounds and responds to and reports unusual incidents or occurrences to minimize or deter hazardous or dangerous situations. Provides auxiliary oversight of library contractors, including janitorial and shuttle service operations. Assists with the operational procedures for activities such as fire prevention, firefighting, and patrolling the physical property. Takes proactive steps to provide a safe and secure working environment for staff and visitors. Assists Security Services Manager with incident investigations and reporting. Must have strong interpersonal skills, people-management skills, and above-average communication skills. Must be able to work evenings and weekends required. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team and be able to foster a team environment. Must be able to problem solve (i.e., identifying issues and exercising good judgment while resolving issues). Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must have the ability to take the initiative and be accountable for results. Ability to read and write in order to review and complete required incident reports. Must be at least 21 years of age. Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications Education:
High school/GED or vocational school diploma
Preferred Education:
Field of study: Security, military, and/or law enforcement
Work Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of security Experience Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory
Experience Certifications/Licenses Required:
Must have a Valid Georgia Driver’s License. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to verbally interact with library patrons, employees, and visitors effectively. Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug test. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time; a short burst of running may be required to address and/or report emergency incidents. Must be willing and able to follow instructions. Must be flexible to work evenings, overnight, and weekends as required. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
