Roles and Responsibilities:
Is readily available to fill in for the Security Manager and all security functions that may include but are not limited to: Responsible for documentations when needed and makes sure that the team is delivering in a timely fashion and follows all procedures for uploading into HR systems Purchasing of needed supplies for the department Risk related reports and investigations Payroll and scheduling Able to step in and run the Security Training academy for new hires Give security presentation during new hire orientation when needed Participate in financial meetings when needed and know and understand the financial budgets and FTE reports for the security department Performs regular meetings with all shift managers, leads, etc. to give balanced feedback, coach and guide Be able to assist with annual PAR forms Actively plays role in recruiting and hiring Focuses on maintaining CPR certifications for all employees Keeps focus on annual training for all team members Enforce company security regulations including but not limited to: Challenging guest interactions Appropriately handles active threats Assist with evacuation procedures Protect the transfer of money, chips and company assets Provide a safe environment for our employees and guests Give directions and escort guests and employees as needed Represent the company and its property to ensure all casino regulations are upheld at all times Patrol all sections of the casino and property Make and conduct chip fills, marker transfers and sensitivity key escorts Provide first aid including CPR when necessary Assist with lost and found Conduct interviews, investigate and document all applicable incidents Write reports as needed Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Enforce Project 21 policy and procedures by monitoring area for underage gamblers. Suggests players in Caesars Rewards, Caesars Rewards App, Play by CR, and Caesars Rewards Visa. Suggests products, services and experiences to guests. Respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations Make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues Must be able to physically restrain individuals when a condition of arrest exists Able to suggest Caesars Rewards Loyalty Program to guests Suggest products, services and experiences to guests Responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the Security Department on assigned shift, in accordance with the company’s established policies, procedures and controls and the safety and wellbeing of guests and fellow employees. Resolves customer complaints regarding security and takes action to resolve complaint. Investigates various incidents that concern the welfare of the hotel/casino. Reviews and approves all documents as needed. Investigates issues pertaining to poor service and make recommendations to improve service. Maintains service standards for security staff. Takes action to correct any deficiencies in standards. Communicates service standards to security officers and also trains officers to perform to standards and also holds security officers accountable for achieving standards. Maintains inventory of supplies as needed. Instructs, trains, and monitors officers in numerous daily duties, including customer and employee relations, report-writing, procedures in handling company funds, crisis and crowd control. Coaches, retrain, administer discipline and assists with annual performance appraisals. Reviews and approves recorded time worked in accordance with schedules. Assists with interviews for security staff. Prepares employee schedules and necessary paperwork when necessary. Coordinates the Security Department’s activities with Law Enforcement authorities and arranges for training classes as required. Develops and maintains relationships with employees and other departments. Provides assistance to all other departments as required. Perform other duties as requested by the Security Manager Directs all Security activities on an assigned shift. Monitors activity regarding Casino Control Commission regulations and company policies to ensure effective performance. Prepares work schedules, security detail assignments and prepares and maintains payroll records. Handles compliance with matters related to the Security Department. Supervises, trains, and coordinates staff to ensure compliance with all related policies, CCC and DGE regulations and court appearances. Monitors incident reports, ensuring accurate and effective handling, and initiates the investigation process. Develops, implements and maintains required internal and external reporting procedures Monitors exclusion lists and ensures effective enforcement where appropriate. Operates a motorized vehicle, i.e., company van. Acts as a role model, always presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same. . Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Must be able to acquire and maintain a Mississippi Gaming Permit issued by Mississippi Gaming Commission Must be able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills Must pass a drug test Previous guest service and security experience are desirable Must be at least 21 years of age Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License Must be able to get along with co-workers Maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements Must be able to complete and pass multiple online training classes Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred Must possess strong leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills. Extensive command or supervisory level law enforcement experience and/or casino customer safety experience, or a combination thereof, is required. Must possess strong oral and written skills with good analytical ability. Proficient in locating, reviewing and saving video coverage related to incidents Proficient in Security Dispatching Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah’s Gulf Coast team members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership. Must be maintain CPR/First -aid certification Must possess skills in investigation Proficient knowledge of gaming regulations and company internal controls. Previous Security experience is preferred. Must possess excellent customer and employee relations’ skills. Must be able to obtain Alcohol Awareness, First Aid and CPR certifications. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift. Must be able to work beyond assigned shift hours when needed, and attend training sessions and/or meetings at any time. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
