Job Description
Overview This role leads initiatives in security operations, risk, and compliance with a strong emphasis on data security. The Security Analyst II is responsible for assisting in developing, executing, auditing, and maintaining security controls and practices, defenses, and countermeasures to intercept and prevent attempts to infiltrate company data. This challenging position will work closely with all departments and 3rd Party Vendors to ensure baseline security for the organization. Responsibilities
- Create, improve, and implement security detection techniques with an emphasis on data protection.
- Design and monitor security access implementations, focusing on data security.
- Work closely with Data Governance Team to design, implement, and monitor enforcement with Microsoft Purview.
- Assist in managing security tools, particularly Microsoft Purview and Microsoft CASB.
- Collaborate with other teams to enhance data security posture and implement best practices (Firewall, Server and Endpoint OS, App Development, eCommerce, etc.).
- Perform and maintain compliance tasks for PCI and financial audit.
- Assist with vulnerability management for all applicable assets.
- Perform internal validation of security standards for network and server configuration.
- Assist with the identification, assessment, and management of IT Risk.
- Investigate and provide reports on security incidents and alerts.
- Promote IT Security Awareness and responsible user behavior across the company.
- Assist with Incident Response testing and help develop plans and runbooks.
- Work with managed SOC on investigation and remediation.
- Regular maintenance and reporting for IT Security Controls.
- Develop and enforce data security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information.
- Conduct regular data security training and awareness programs for employees.
- Monitor data security compliance and address any breaches or issues promptly. Qualifications
- Four-year degree in IT Security related studies or equivalent experience.
- Five years’ experience in IT Security role, particularly focused on data security.
- Broad understanding and experience with all technical aspects of IT.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft CASB solutions or competitive products.
