Security Director 2.0 2.0 out of 5 stars Charlotte, NC 28217 Job Summary Property Management Company is accepting resumes for the position of “Security Director”. The role of the position includes, but not limited to, working with the site staff to enhance security measures at the apartment communities. The role does not perform security but partners with leadership and operations to ensure security at all locations is covered by implementing security strategies, coordinating with law enforcement for support at locations, filing police reports & incident reports, guiding & educating safety measures to staff site, etc. Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and crisis management skills are qualities that contribute to the success of the position. Former law enforcement experience is a plus! Duties are, but not limited to, Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities. Oversee surveillance operations, including monitoring CCTV systems and reviewing footage for suspicious activities. Lead/Perform security training for site staff, when/as needed Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed to address security concerns. Respond to incidents promptly, conducting investigations and preparing reports as necessary. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in security management. Skills Strategic Thinker Proficiency in conflict management with the ability to de-escalate tense situations. Background in law enforcement or military service is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners. Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing appropriate responses. Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a culture of safety and vigilance. This position requires a proactive approach to security management with a focus on maintaining a safe environment for all communities in assigned region.
