  • Responsibilities:
  • 1.

Oversee and lead daily operations of Security Department; lead and manage security personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management. 2. Lead and manage security personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management. 3. Develop, implement and enforce hospital security policies and procedures. 4. Maintains certification in programs required for Security and staff training. Conducts training programs in accordance with staff requirements. Conduct risk assessments, prepare reports and provide recommendations for security improvements and enhancements. 5. Act as System Administrator of the Security Management and surveillance systems, control access of systems, access controls and security alarms to ensure proper operation. 6. Respond to and investigate security incidents, breaches, and emergencies; maintain documentation of security incidents, investigations, and security measures; conduct briefings and address safety concerns of patients, visitors, and employees professionally and efficiently and act as liaison to law enforcement agencies as needed. 7. Develop and implement emergency response plans, including fire safety, active shooter incidents and disaster preparedness. 8. Coordinate and collaborate with hospital administration, medical staff, law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical teams; create reports and daily dashboards about performance. 9. Organize and lead staff in security drills and training for emergency situations; provide security guidance and training to hospital staff on workplace violence prevention, patient security, and emergency response. 10. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, local, state and federal security regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA and perform other duties as assigned.
