Overview The Mgr Security is responsible for overseeing and managing the security operations within the organization. This role ensures the safety and security of company assets, employees, and facilities. The Mgr Security will develop, implement, and maintain security protocols and procedures, and will work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures
Oversee the daily operations of the security department
Conduct regular security assessments and audits
Coordinate and manage security staff and external security contractors
Monitor and respond to security incidents and emergencies
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Develop and deliver security training programs for employees
Investigate security breaches and incidents Additional Primary Responsibilities Manage security technology systems, including surveillance and access control
Liaise with law enforcement and other external agencies as needed
Prepare and present security reports to senior management
Oversee the budget and resource allocation for the security department
Ensure the maintenance and functionality of all security equipment
Implement and manage emergency response plans
Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
Perform other job-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field
5+ years of experience in security management or related field
Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle and respond to emergency situations
Knowledge of security systems and technologies
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Demands Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor)
