The Team:

The Asset Protection team is dedicated to maintaining a secure and safe environment for our stores and corporate offices. We achieve this by providing extensive training programs that equip our staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively to safety and security challenges. Our protection services encompass a range of measures including access control protocols that regulate entry to sensitive areas, as well as comprehensive CCTV monitoring systems that allow for real-time surveillance and support the investigation of any incidents. Furthermore, we actively collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to foster strong partnerships that enhance our safety efforts and response capabilities. Our team prioritizes proactive risk management by conducting regular assessments and implementing strategies to mitigate potential threats. In addition to these initiatives, we work closely with various store teams and departments to establish a thorough and efficient process for new store openings. This collaborative effort ensures that security measures are integrated from the outset, safeguarding our personnel and assets as we expand our operations. Through these comprehensive strategies, the Asset Protection team is committed to preserving the integrity and safety of our organization.

The Opportunity:

As the Asset Protection Manager for HOP Events, you will have the opportunity to take a leading role in crafting and implementing comprehensive asset protection strategies that enhance the overall success of our events. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of settings, including retail stores, corporate offices, offsite locations, and special events organized by Hermes International. By overseeing vital safety protocols, you will play an essential part in maintaining operational integrity and ensuring that our events are conducted safely and effectively. In this role, you will utilize your exceptional communication skills to engage with colleagues across all levels of the organization. Building strong partnerships with store management, the communications team, the CDRM team, Hermes International (HI), our internal Asset Protection team, and other corporate stakeholders will be key to aligning asset protection initiatives with our broader goals. You will be tasked with ensuring the secure transportation and safeguarding of products, venues, staff, and attendees. Collaborating closely with the local Asset Protection team, you will coordinate both internal and external security efforts tailored to the unique requirements of each event. Additionally, you will conduct on-site assessments for large-scale and high-value events, including National Sales Offsites (NSOs), to evaluate security needs and implement effective measures proactively. Your role will extend beyond implementation; you will also focus on continuous improvement, utilizing feedback and incident analysis to refine our security strategies. Through your expertise and proactive mindset, you will contribute significantly to the successful execution of HOP events, fostering a culture of safety and excellence in asset protection. Additionally, you will collaborate directly with the Director of Asset Protection to meticulously complete a comprehensive pre-event checklist. This checklist will focus on confirming that all necessary insurance coverage and Certificates of Insurance (COI) are secured and compliant with our event requirements. Your role will also involve overseeing the installation and ongoing management of vital security equipment, which includes advanced camera surveillance systems and high-security jewelry safes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the physical security and integrity of our events. This involves not only safeguarding merchandise but also prioritizing the safety and well-being of all participants, including employees, vendors, and customers. To achieve this, you will implement best practices in security measures, conduct regular assessments of the event space, and coordinate with security personnel to respond promptly to any potential threats or incidents. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will be crucial in maintaining a secure environment that fosters a positive experience for everyone involved.

About the

Role:

Developing and implementing detailed Asset Protection strategies specifically designed for each event, which includes conducting thorough risk assessments, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and establishing proactive measures to mitigate losses. These strategies will encompass staff training, security protocols, and coordination with local authorities to ensure a safe and secure environment throughout the event. Overseeing the coordination of security personnel, including event staff and law enforcement, if necessary, while managing the allocation of resources such as equipment, communication tools, and first aid supplies to ensure a secure and well-organized environment for all events. Responsible for organizing a series of comprehensive training sessions for event personnel which will focus on the implementation of effective Asset Protection strategies as well as an in-depth understanding of emergency procedures. These trainings will cover topics such as risk assessment, de-escalation, and the appropriate response protocols in various emergency situations, equipping our staff with this essential knowledge. Thoroughly investigating and promptly reporting incidents of theft, fraud, or safety violations during event is essential for ensuring a secure environment. Conducting a thorough analysis of data to identify specific trends and patterns related to losses from events is crucial for developing effective strategies and making informed decisions. Maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies during events to ensure a secure and professional environment for all participants. Presenting in-depth post-event reports that provide a comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of Asset Protection strategies implemented during the event. These reports will include all event data including incidents, trends, and outcomes, as well as feedback from all stakeholders involved. Additionally, the reports will identify specific areas for improvement, propose actionable recommendations, and outline potential strategies for enhancing future loss prevention efforts. Collaborate with other departments to effectively balance our security requirements while enhancing the client experience. Responsible for the acquisition, delivery, and strategic placement of essential security equipment, including temporary CCTV systems and safes. This role involves evaluating security requirements, selecting suitable equipment, coordinating logistics for prompt delivery, and ensuring proper installation to enhance overall security protocols. Responsible for the contracting of security guard services and ODO services. This role entails the evaluation of service providers, and management of ongoing relationships to ensure compliance with organizational standards and operational requirements. All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

About You:

3-5 years of experience as a retail Asset Protection Manager or higher, luxury retail experience is preferred. Strong proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to learn other software programs quickly. Exceptional written, verbal, and electronic communication skills. Superior organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong partnership, communication and relationship building skills. The range for this position is $90,094.58 – $106,475.72 annually. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience. We are looking for a candidate that has a combination of the above attributes and can perform the key functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
