Position Summary:
The Security Coordinator will oversee all aspects of facility security, ensuring a secure environment across the property. This includes monitoring surveillance systems, coordinating with emergency services, responding to incidents, and conducting routine safety checks. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and experience in a healthcare or senior living setting is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a visible presence on-site to deter unauthorized access and ensure resident safety Monitor surveillance cameras and conduct routine patrols of the facility Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, and document occurrences in detailed reports Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency response services when necessary Enforce visitor sign-in protocols and ensure compliance with community policies Assist staff with safety-related concerns and offer support during evacuations or drills Regularly inspect doors, locks, windows, and alarm systems for proper functionality Participate in safety committee meetings and help develop emergency preparedness plans Maintain confidentiality and uphold residents’ dignity and privacy at all times
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in security, senior living, law enforcement, or a related field preferred CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Strong observational and problem-solving skills Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with professionalism Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to walk and stand for extended periods Ability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed Compassionate and respectful approach to working with seniors Why Join Us?
