Security Officer Position Overview:
This is routine work in safeguarding and regulating the use of public property. Work involves responsibility for preventing the misuse, damage, or theft of public property and for preventing the use of public property by unauthorized persons. Work involves patrolling buildings and grounds, parking areas and other facilities. Incidental to this work, may receive telephone calls and relay messages, open and close facilities.
Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements:
High school diploma from a school accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or GED certificate issued by the appropriate state agency and some experience in security work; or any combination of education, training and experience.
A valid driver’s license
