This role involves the consistent enforcement of established security policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. All duties are to be carried out in accordance with organizational standards and under the supervision and review of the assigned supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities The duties listed below are essential to meet the minimum requirements of the position but are not limited to the following: Protect the client’s property, personnel, and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations with a calm, solution-focused approach Conduct routine and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter; working conditions may vary depending on the client site Accurately complete and submit all required documentation, including Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, logbook entries, and other job-related records Adhere to site-specific post orders and performance guidelines; report any safety hazards, security breaches, or unusual incidents through both written and verbal communication to supervisory personnel Monitor access control points, and log all visitors, vendors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with established protocols Qualifications and Education Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Reliable means of transportation Proficient in basic computer and smartphone use Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills High school diploma or GED preferred; or a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in a related field Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening Valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card required Physical Requirements This position requires specific physical abilities to ensure the Security Officer can effectively perform essential job duties.
