Summary of Job Duties:

The Public Safety Security Officer works under the general supervision of the Chief of Police and the direct supervision of either the Shift Sergeant or Administrative Sergeant. The Security Officer is responsible for inside patrol, metal detector in ED and public assistance.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED. Be at least 19 years of age. Current and valid driver’s license. Ability to walk a minimum of 8 to 12 miles in an 8 to 12 hour shift. Ability to climb stairwells.
