Medical Response Team Officer 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars 180 Christopher Columbus Drive, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 Security Officer / Medical Response Technician Must have or obtain a Class D License and NREMT Like other security officers, a casino security officer protects his employer’s property from vandalism, theft and other illegal activity. Officers may do this while patrolling the grounds or while stationed at a static position. Casino security officers also protect the Casino’s assets during transport. Interacting with the general public is a big part of a casino security officer’s regular routine. Not only does the officer safeguard patrons and their property, officers are expected to assist guests whenever asked. This includes greeting visitors, giving directions and escorting motorists to their car if need be. An MRT should be able to provide basic, immediate lifesaving care including bleeding control, manual stabilization of extremity fractures and suspected cervical spine injuries, eye irrigation, taking vital signs, supplemental oxygen administration, oral suctioning, positive pressure ventilation with a bag valve mask, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED) usage, and administration of certain basic medications such as epinephrine auto-injectors and oral glucose. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; controls access to ensure that employees and visitors display proper passes or identification before entering the facility Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers if deemed necessary Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Physical requirements Walk, sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs and ladders Perform moderately demanding physical duties that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and /or pulling of reasonably heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds) Requirements Must be 18 y/o age Must be able to pass background checks for TSA, Coast Guard and BCSO Must be able to pass drug test Victory Casino Cruises has a No Visible Tattoo Policy.
