Armed Security Officer RDJ Security LLC Fort Lauderdale, FL 33313 Job Overview We are seeking a highly vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in protecting property and preventing loss through proactive surveillance and intervention. Duties Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure safety protocols are followed. Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor. Conduct thorough inspections of premises and report any irregularities or safety hazards. Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid or CPR when necessary. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations. Requirements Valid armed security officer certification is required. Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Knowledge of first aid and CPR; certification is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
