In keeping with their heritage, the hospital provides quality, compassionate healthcare to residents of Citrus County and surrounding areas. TGH Crystal River care services include a dedicated orthopedic bone and joint center, cardiac catheterization lab and freestanding emergency department in Citrus Hills. Surgical services include robotic-arm assisted, minimally invasive options for general and bariatric surgeries. TGH Crystal River is designated as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), and Accredited Heart Failure Center and is a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center. Under the direct supervision of the Security Team Leader, Security Officers I are required to utilize a safety centric mindset with a focus on customer service skills. Security Officers I will be expected to provide a safe, pleasant and customer service friendly environment while enforcing hospital policy, documenting security related incidents, conducting traffic control, and assisting patients and visitors with simple vehicle malfunctions. Additional responsibilities include infant and newborn unit security, participating in various incident responses, participating in facility lockdown events, storing, and logging patient valuables, and performing physical security rounds on local TGH facilities. Qualified officers will assist in responding to emergency codes, provide a security presence in the Level I trauma center located in the emergency room, and assist in applying restraints to violent or dangerous patients as required throughout the hospital. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or G.E.D.; Current Florida driver license; Must obtain Florida Security license (Class “D”) within six months of hire, de-escalation certification (MOAB, CPI, etc.) within six months of hire, Basic Life Saving (CPR/AED) within six months of hire, and Basic International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification within one year of hire.

Experience:

Six (6) months of healthcare security experience preferred.
