Job Description:

The Guard I carries out detailed instructions and procedures primarily oriented to insure that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered, and reported to appropriate authority.

Essential Responsibilities:

The primary duty is to observe and report security and emergency situations. Carries out detailed instructions and procedures primarily oriented to ensure that aircraft and company facilities are secure.
This guard intervenes directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or persons. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays only. (Typical work week is one shift of 9 or 10 hours a week.)
Must be able to work day and/or night shift.
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Must have a driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

One to three years’ experience preferred.
Ability to operate flight line vehicle preferred.

Typical office and non-office environment with no unusual hazards
Occasional lifting to 20 pounds
Constant sitting while using the computer terminal
Constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents
Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication
Constant mental alertness
Must possess planning/organizing skills
