• Paid bi-weekly Position Overview A private catholic homeschooling organization in Tampa is seeking a professional, reliable, and licensed Armed Security Officer to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors during the academic year.

This is a part-time position , working two scheduled weekdays per week from August through May . The ideal candidate is a former law enforcement or military professional with a calm, commanding presence and a commitment to child-safe protocols and discretion. Key Responsibilities Monitor entrances and patrol school property to ensure a secure environment Respond to incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activity in accordance with school policies Maintain visible deterrence and engage positively with faculty, students, and visitors Coordinate with school administration and emergency services as needed Complete daily activity and incident reports Uphold confidentiality and act with professionalism at all times Minimum Qualifications Must be fluent in English To be considered, applicants must meet the following licensing requirements: Hold an active Class “D” and “G” Security License

• issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) including current annual firearm requalification Be a U.

S. citizen or legal resident Pass a Level II background check and drug screening Have a valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor Prior school, child-focused, or high-security environment experience is preferred Preferred Qualifications Prior law enforcement, military, or school resource officer experience CPR/First Aid certification Excellent communication and de-escalation skills Familiarity with Florida K-12 school security protocols
