This is a temporary assignment paying $25/hour , ideal for professionals who want to support public safety during one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year. We are looking for vigilant, professional individuals who can help maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, vendors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include crowd monitoring, access control, incident reporting, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols throughout the event. This is an unarmed post , but candidates must bring a commanding presence, strong situational awareness, and excellent interpersonal skills. Duties Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter disruptive behavior and ensure public safety during the event. Conduct periodic foot patrols throughout assigned areas, including entrances, perimeters, crowd zones, and vendor stations. Monitor guest activity for signs of disorderly conduct, unsafe behavior, or unauthorized access. Assist in controlling access points and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas. Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or medical emergencies and coordinate with event supervisors or emergency services as needed. Use effective verbal communication and conflict de-escalation techniques to manage potential confrontations peacefully. Provide directions and assistance to guests, maintaining a courteous and helpful demeanor at all times. Document notable incidents and observations in clear, concise reports for post-event review. Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the event security lead or law enforcement liaison. Experience Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention techniques is a plus. Strong conflict management skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly. A background in military service may be beneficial for those with relevant experience. Must possess a valid security certificate as required by local regulations.
