Overview:

VRSI, in partnership with QualityStaff, LLC, is seeking versatile and licensed Security Officers to support both Firewatch assignments and general site security roles . Our team provides essential safety coverage for properties requiring active patrols, incident response, and strong customer service presence. This includes Firewatch duties , perimeter checks , and enforcing facility rules while supporting safety and operational protocols. This position involves providing professional security services for facilities that require compliance with FDACS (Class D Security License) and USDA security standards. This is an ideal opportunity for licensed security professionals looking for focused, essential-duty assignments in high-compliance environments. Ideal candidates are flexible, professional, and capable of adapting to different environments and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Firewatch duties as required (when fire systems are down) Monitor and secure facilities, parking areas, and site perimeters Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols exactly Ability to remain calm and act quickly in high pressure or emergency situations Must remain on high alert and conduct routine patrols Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies Provide customer service and communicate effectively with visitors, employees, or emergency personnel Work independently or as part of a team

Requirements:

Valid Class D Security License (FDACS) – REQUIRED At least 1 year of security experience (Firewatch experience a plus) Previous security or Firewatch experience preferred Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality Strong situational awareness and communication skills Stand/walk/patrol for full shifts Clean background check Preferred (but not required): OSHA Firewatch certification

Schedule:

Full time – First Shift (Morning to Afternoon) 48 hours per week expected May include weekends and holidays, depending on site needs
