- Armed Utility Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .
As an Armed Patrol Officer in a utilities environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere. This role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible throughout the location, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. The position requires carrying a firearm and may involve driving responsibilities. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity while supporting a secure environment for all individuals on site.

AM Responsibilities:
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
Help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and thorough observation during patrols.
Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
