Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to safety, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. This particular position is for Saturday and Sunday, 6:30am-2:30pm, working as the entry controller to a gated golf and tennis community. It’s perfect for retirees or college students looking to supplement their income. Duties Monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Utilize CCTV systems for surveillance and monitoring of premises. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as required during incidents or investigations. Manage conflicts effectively, de-escalating situations when necessary. Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities. Act as the first point of contact for the community while maintaining a friendly disposition and professional demeanor. Experience Previous , or military service is preferred but not required. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. Familiarity with surveillance equipment including CCTV systems is a plus. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is beneficial.
