We’re looking forreliable, team-oriented professionals capable of working alongsidelocal and federal law enforcement, while operating under HomelandSecurity protocols. These roles primarily involve access control and securityoperations in Manatee County, with potential assignments across theTampa Bay Area. We emphasize continued training and professionaldevelopment to ensure our officers perform at the highest level.
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safetyand security procedures, site-specific policies and whenappropriate, emergency response activities Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problemsolving manner Conduct regular and random patrols around the business andperimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by clientsite.
Minimum Qualifications and Education:
(Minimum QualificationsMUST be attained before the recruitment start date.) In possession of an approved Florida Class “D” license from theDOACS. In possession of the Transportation Worker IdentificationCredential (T.W.I.C.). Additional Details at TSA’s officialwebsite Ability to provide proof of high school diploma, collegedegree, or a valid state GED certificate. Valid driver’s license and clean driving history. Minimum one (1) year of work experience in security orsupervisory-related positions. Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnights,weekends, and holidays. Possess reliable, personally owned transportation and theability to commute to various job sites as assigned. 24/7 access to a smartphone (Android, iPhone, or Windows) andcomputer with internet access. Intermediate computer skills, including emailing, web browsing,MS Word, and Adobe PDF. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated and resourceful. Able to prioritize and accomplishjob-related goals and tasks with minimal direction based ontraining and experience. Strong English communication skills, including reading andwriting: Ability to read and interpret complex instructions andprocedures, including SOPs, post orders, statutes, laws, andregulations. Ability to safely work in a variety of work environments,including commercial and industrial locations. Ability to obtain personal uniform items as necessary. Must be in good physical condition, capable of walking up anddownstairs in limited-spaced areas, work in traffic control areas,and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must maintain a neat, professional appearance and wear thecomplete and clean assigned uniform, including covering any tattoosthat may be exposed in the uniform. Preferred Skills:
Possession of an approved Florida Armed Class “G” SecurityLicense issued by the Department of Agriculture and ConsumerServices (DOACS) and Completion of an approved State of Florida28-hour Armed Security Officer Course. Working knowledge of maritime security enforcement guidelines,including MTSA and the laws, regulations, and ordinances governingHillsborough County. CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain. Prior veteran, military/law enforcement experience ispreferred.
