Position Summary We are seeking a Security Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at cruise port facilities in Miami. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with port security experience who can manage staff, coordinate with key partners, and maintain a strong presence in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The Security Supervisor acts as a liaison between field staff, management, cruise lines, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and other stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support security personnel, ensuring professionalism, efficiency, and adherence to protocols Oversee shift scheduling and ensure complete site coverage Communicate with cruise lines, CBP, crew members, hotels, hospitals, and vendors Manage port operations and enforce all security standards and procedures Respond to incidents, emergencies, and after-hours calls promptly and professionally Conduct routine site inspections and address performance or compliance issues Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action as needed Maintain detailed records and submit operational reports to management Foster positive working relationships with staff and partners Required Qualifications Must have or be eligible to obtain the following: Florida Class D Security License MDAD (Miami-Dade Aviation Department) Airport ID Badge TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) HACK License PortMiami ID Badge Valid Florida Driver License with a clean driving record Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish Minimum of 2 years of security experience At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Must be willing to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and prepared for emergency or on-call duties Reliable transportation Preferred Experience Cruise port or port agent experience strongly preferred Experience in safeguard or maritime security operations is a plus Familiarity with CBP and cruise line procedures Schedule Shifts typically range from 8 to 10 hours 5-6 days per week, depending on operational needs Must be available to work some weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule On-call and emergency response may be required occasionally Flexible scheduling is essential, including availability for day and evening shifts Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay: $19.00-$21.00 (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off (PTO) Career advancement opportunities
