The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Duties Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate CCTV and surveillance systems to monitor activities in designated areas. Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as necessary. Document incidents and prepare reports on security breaches or unusual occurrences. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations. Implement conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols. Experience Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is highly desirable. Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus; candidates without certification must be willing to obtain it upon hiring. Strong conflict management skills are essential for effectively handling challenging situations. A background in loss prevention strategies will be beneficial for this role.
