Full-Time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. Duties Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to monitor activities within the facility. Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations, providing assistance as needed. Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, or unusual occurrences for management review. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide support during investigations. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and ensure safety protocols are followed. Skills Strong conflict management abilities to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Proficient in surveillance techniques and operation of CCTV systems. Certified in CPR and First Aid, with the ability to respond to medical emergencies. Background in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques is advantageous. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail to identify potential security risks. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals in various situations.
