- 7:00 AM (12-hour shift) Job Summary Our security officers play an essential role in ensuring the safety and peace of mind of residents, guests, and staff. You will monitor property grounds, manage access control, and enforce building policies to maintain a secure and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine foot patrols to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, ensuring the safety of the premises.
- Monitor and operate security cameras, alarm systems, and access points, including gatehouse operations.
- Control and authorize entry and exit of personnel, guarding against theft and maintaining parking garage security.
- Assist at the front desk as needed, ensuring a professional and hospitable presence for residents and visitors.
- Install and remove elevator pads during designated shifts to support building operations.
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fires or unauthorized persons, contacting police or fire departments as required.
- Investigate disturbances, suspicious activities, or policy violations, and take appropriate action in line with protocols.
- Enforce building policies, report safety violations, and address hazards promptly.
- Write detailed, accurate, and timely reports on daily activities, property damage, theft, or unusual incidents.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, guests, and property staff to address safety concerns.
Qualifications Required:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- A minimum of one year of security experience is required.
- Valid and current Security Officer D License for the state of Florida.
- Valid and current Driver’s License.
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform physical patrols.
- Ability to use technology and software for reporting, communication, and equipment operation, as all tasks are digital.
Preferred:
- Previous security or customer service experience.
- Familiarity with residential or high-rise security.
