About this role Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College’s mission and strategic plan. Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment. Transcripts for Adjunct positions must either be an official copy or a college-stamped student copy, scanned into an electronic format and attached to the application. Transcripts produced through web-based student systems will not be accepted. Applications without attached copies of official transcripts will not be considered. Varies
Teach “D” unarmed security courses, including safety protocols, legal aspects, and situational awareness. Provide hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and evaluations to ensure students meet the requirements for certification. Maintain accurate records of student progress and course completion. Ensure a safe and professional learning environment for all students. Stay current with changes in Florida security regulations and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Florida “DI” Unarmed Security License (required) Florida “D” Unarmed Security License (required) Minimum of 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred. Strong knowledge of Florida security laws and defensive tactics. Excellent communication, instructional, and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to different learning styles and skill levels. Professional and reliable with a strong commitment to safety and compliance. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on student needs.
