Director of Security 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Boca Raton, FL We are seeking a qualified candidate to hold the position of Director of Security at a high-end residential gated community in Boca Raton. The Director of Security is first in command of the security department. They shall answer directly to the Titan Operation Managers and onsite Property Manager and bring all matters of concern or detected deficiencies to the attention of same.
General Qualifications of Uniformed Security Officers:
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields Class “D” license required (TEMPORARY “BLUE”/ACKNOWLEDGEMENT CARD OK) Class “G” license preferred Familiarity with security equipment Strong attention to detail Exceptional customer service skills Professionally presentable Experience in residential communities HIGHLY preferred Clear and concise command of the English language required Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the
Director of Security:
Responsible for the operation and performance of the Security Force. To implement all rules and regulations deemed necessary to carry out these responsibilities. To be responsible for the planning, training, and organization of a 24 hour a day security operation. Maintaining liaison with local agencies. Make daily assessments to determine any necessary improvements in security operations. Ensure that all security personnel are prepared for duty and are properly trained. Prepare, file, and/or preserve all necessary forms, reports, and correspondence kept or received in connection with the security department. Ensure that all security personnel are up to date with the training necessary to perform their duties as a security officer. Check, on a daily basis, all incident reports, logs, patrol reports, and basic operating procedures. Communicate any written or oral instructions and/or orders to the supervisors of security. Ensure proper ongoing training of interdepartmental supervisors. Ensure that ongoing training is being conducted with and for all personnel within the Security Department. Must be aware of and report to the property manager, all pertinent incidents that occur on the site. Oversee weekly inspections of officers, vehicles, and gatehouses. Responsible to perform all duties as specified in the site’s standard operating procedures manual. Monitor the official reporting program to ensure compliance to job descriptions and responsibilities. All other tasks as designated on an ongoing basis due to mission requirements.
