This role involves supervising security personnel, responding to incidents, enforcing hospital policies, and working collaboratively with clinical staff to maintain a safe therapeutic environment. The Security Supervisor must demonstrate professionalism, strong judgment, and a compassionate approach when dealing with individuals in crisis. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the security team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks and implement corrective measures. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient care and safety protocols. Train and mentor security personnel on de-escalation techniques and hospital-specific protocols. Prepare incident reports and maintain security records in compliance with hospital regulations. Respond to and manage security incidents, including patient disturbances, elopements, and emergency situations. Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect suspicious activities and respond accordingly. Develop and implement security protocols related to emergency response. Train and mentor security staff on best practices in conflict management, and overall safety procedures. Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security activities. Manage monthly staff schedule, ensure appropriate ratios meet guidelines of staff per shift. Conduct interviews, employee evaluations, and provide counseling in the event areas of improvement are needed. Other duties as required. Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory role within security or law enforcement. Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred. Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
