Dunedin Job Description:

Provide excellent customer service to all visitors, staff, and players at the Player Development Complex in Dunedin and TD Ballpark.
We have positions open for 8-hour blocks of shift coverage and baseball game day shifts. Please indicate your weekly availability. The hours for this position will vary depending on location and event, but can include shifts at both locations in Dunedin. The days worked are flexible but may consist of Monday-Sunday, holidays, etc. Assist in providing a safe environment for event operations.
Operate patron screening devices (metal detector) at all entry points for prohibited items, as well as check bags and purses as needed.
Verify credentials to control access in restricted areas.
Direct guests, vendors, and contractors to the proper locations for deliveries, work activity, etc.
Observe and investigate all suspicious activity, customer complaints, and emergencies.
Monitor parking lot for safety and security of guests, employees, and vehicles.
Respond immediately to potential problems such as unauthorized persons, access control violations, medical issues, and notifications in the case of a facility issue such as power outage or building alarms. Write reports on all, if any, accidents or potential problems that shall occur, as well as notifying your Supervisor.
Keep Security Supervisor briefed on all accidents or incidents that occur.
Patrol premises to ensure building/parking lot are secure.
Communicate clearly and notify supervisors after hours of issues and potential issues at the Player Development Complex. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Florida Security D License, or the ability to obtain one.
Ability to be trained to operate a golf cart, Magnetometer Wand, and Walk-Through Metal Detector.
Ability to follow proper radio etiquette.
Previous security, law enforcement and/or military experience strongly preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm during times of stress.
Ability to lift, pull, push and/or carry 25-60 lbs. as necessary.
Physical ability to walk, run or stand for extended periods and navigate through flat ground, ramps, and stadium steps for up to 5 hours.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions to include extreme heat and rain.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to days, nights, weekends and holidays.
