As an Armed Patrol Officer in a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your duties. You will interact with staff and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. AM Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and thorough observation during patrols.
Document and report any unusual activity or incidents according to site protocols.
Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed during incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
You must possess a valid Florida Armed Security Professional License.
You must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
You must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
As a condition of employment, you will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, you will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
You must participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
A valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required for driving positions only.
An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
A Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
